A Tribe Called Hip Hop proudly presents the all new Drum and Bass subdivision

We are going to get the ball rolling with undoubtedly one of the best producers in drums today, the legend that is TC. TC has been producing tunes for the best part of ten years, like so many great producers this began in the unglamorous surroundings of his bed room in Bristol. In 2007 TC released his debut album Evolution which took the drum bass scene by storm. A combination of precise production techniques and gripping basslines made songs such as ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Raise the Roof’ instance dance floor hits and must have records for the UK’s premier DJs. Perhaps what stands out most about TC, epitomized by Evolution, is his ability to produce tracks for both ends of the drum and bass spectrum. The two featured tracks in this blog are a perfect illustration of this. ‘Game Over’ is TC at his destructive best, jungley drums and a playful sample are then consumed by a dark and savage bassline, truly epic through any big system. ‘Borrowed Time’ by contrast is a heavy melodic roller which builds and builds until all the elements produce total D&B euphoria, even haters will love this one. This contrast in styles is testament to the skills of TC, if anyone in drum and bass can be relied on produce consistently banging tunes it is this man. In recent times Caspa has remixed ‘Wheres my money’ (yet another huge track from Evolution) to great success, and TC himself has remixed the chart hit Day ‘n’ Nite by Kid Cudi & Crookers. Although it is fairly rare to see TC DJ, his songs are ever present in drum & bass sets across the land. That’s it for now….. hope you enjoy folks!  Your DnB Supervisor,TdotP.
